About Us
The Africa-Scotland Arts History Heritage Network was founded in 2025, with the intention of providing better communications and opportunities to collaborate between researchers and museum professionals in institutions in Scotland and across the African continent.
An initiatory hybrid event for founding this network was held at the RSE in Edinburgh in autumn 2024. The event welcomed a diverse group of academics, museum professionals and heritage experts, from Scotland, Ghana, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Rwanda and the United States. All supported the creation of a network to share information, amplify research and facilitate future collaborations.
